What is Google One?
Previously, Google Drive provided a paid storage service for those who needed additional storage capacity. However, this service was later separated in 2018 and rebranded as Google One.

Google One is a subscription-based cloud storage service that allows you to expand your storage capacity on Google Drive, Gmail, and Google Photos. The pricing and storage capacity are the main differences between Google One and Google Drive. With Google Drive, you receive up to 15GB of free storage, including files and photos. On the other hand, with Google One, you pay a monthly fee but can access larger storage capacities.

In addition to increasing storage capacity across Google services, Google One also offers additional benefits for members on various Google services.

1. Is my data safe when renewing through Flash Shop?
Your data will be securely protected and kept private when renewing through Flash Shop. Your account will be renewed by joining the Shop’s Family and sharing the Google One package benefits from the Shop’s account owner. The package offered by Flash Shop is obtained through special offers, resulting in better pricing than the current market price in Vietnam. However, you still need to comply with Google’s terms and policies (e.g., regarding copyright infringement, pornography, fraud). Your account may still be suspended if you violate these policies. This is a general policy and not specific to using the package through Flash Shop.

2. What happens to my data when I stop renewing the package?
If you stop renewing the package at Flash Shop, all your data will continue to be stored on your Google account for the next 2 years without loss. During this time, you can download all your stored data from Google. However:
– Gmail: You cannot send or receive emails. Emails sent to you will be bounced back to the sender.
– Google Drive: You cannot sync or upload new files. You cannot create new files in Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drawings, Forms, and Jamboard.
– Google Photos: You cannot back up new photos or videos.

To continue using Google services, you will need to renew the package or delete data that exceeds the 15GB free limit.

3. My Google account is currently subscribed to Youtube Premium. Can I add this package as well?
If your account is already subscribed to Youtube Premium from Flash Shop or is part of another family, you cannot add the Google One package. Please inbox the Flash Shop fanpage for assistance with account transfers.

4. Will family members see my content?
No, you don’t have to worry about family members seeing the content you store, unless you specifically share it with them through Google Drive, Gmail, or Google Photos.

5. What benefits do I enjoy as a Google One member?
Currently in Vietnam, you will have access to advanced editing features on Google Photos for Android and iOS. Other features such as virtual private network (VPN) are not supported in Vietnam.

6. What is the difference between Google One and Google Drive?
Google One is a storage service, and the subscription package offers you more storage capacity to use across Google Drive, Gmail, and Google Photos. 7. What counts towards the storage?
Google Drive: Most files in “My Drive,” including PDFs, images, videos, and items in the Trash.
Gmail: Emails and attachments, including items in the Spam and Trash folders.
Google Photos: All photos and videos.

8. If my account is still directly subscribed to the Google One package from Google, can I add the package from the shop?
Yes. After renewing, the storage capacity will be accumulated.
